Royal Marines Rugby

Gibraltar Rugby warm-up for next month's international in Hungary by welcoming the Royal Marines this weekend as part of a triple-header of rugby at Victoria Stadium.

GRFU Spokesperson Jack Milner: "Gibraltar Rugby enjoyed a spectacular 12 months last season, beating the Marines on home soil, before November's 55-7 success in Montenegro and April's 22-17 win over Finland. It's another massive year of the GRFU with Saturday's Marines game followed by internationals with Hungary, Finland and the UAE all coming up throughout 2017/2018."

GRFU General Manager Kim Chang: "The Marines game gives opportunities to those players wishing to claim a part in next month's test side that travels to Hungary, whilst offering a chance to shine for those players who are yet to recieve a first test cap. Both Simon Adamnson and Chris Griffin have impressed for the Developement Squad and get a deserved opportunity to make their case for a first call-up."

"Teddy Sacarello captained the side to success in Montenegro and, after missing the defeat of Finland, makes his return, whilst both Seb Triay and Aidan Beazley both likewise return to the squad after missing April's win at Victoria Stadium."
